ROLE DESCRIPTION
Kids.Think.Art is hiring an energetic summer art camp assistant ( or a student intern) to provide in-person art education and art-making activities for K-5 students in July and August 2023.
- From $15-$20/hour
- 15 to 20 hours per week
Kids.Think.Art is an art education platform that offers kids engaging art experiences lifting up artworks by and with people of color.
ABOUT US
Kids.Think.Art is born out of a dire need for more diversity in museums and a resolve to create change through art. People of color have historically been underrepresented in art collections, in art professions, and in art audiences. This discrepancy is the result of systemic racism that Kids.Think.Art combats.
Through our research, we bring the spotlight on diverse artists across the world with an unique perspective on issues affecting people of color. Through our programming, we create out-of-the-box opportunities for kids K-12 to dialogue with artists of color and experience art beyond the four walls of traditional art places. Through our projects, we build up a community of art thinkers who engage with global art by and with people of color, and develop critical thinking skills to foster change. Kids.Think.Art is creating spatial justice in art.
